Layers Bakery is the story of a self-made baker who decided to follow his passion for bread and pastries.

All our products are handmade from scratch in-house from raw quality ingredients.

Using traditional and ancestral methods.

Our flakey and buttery pastries are all baked fresh every morning and are made to a high standard without any additives or preservatives. Our pastry techniques and attention to detail is second to none. Our croissant dough is a 72-hour process and proudly artisan.

A taste of France in Subiaco!

We are a small family owned and operated French artisan bakery located in Subiaco, Western Australia. Layers Bakery opened in November 2020 and was born out of curiosity,experimentation, hard work, and dedication.

We pride ourselves in our products especially our breads and pastries made using traditional artisan methods.

A former fine dining chef, Bertrand has spent almost two decades cooking in some of the best places in France. Bertrand has worked in the kitchens of major gourmet establishments, alongside Michelin-starred chefs, and then decided to travel to discover more about culinary traditions around the world.

Bertrand has spent almost a year perfecting the art of sourdough and pastries through trial and error, day and night, in his spare time from home before having the opportunity to open his own place.

Bertrand’s goal is to share his French culture with others through producing a selection of his favorite French breads and pastries.

We cater to offices and workspaces around Subiaco and any private party or event. Check our Online Shop and make your order quick and easy. If you are planning on a special event look at our catering menu and contact us for additional information or requirements via the catering inquiry below.

Please note that all online catering orders require at least 48 hours of preparation and are for PICK-UP only.
